(Why not rehearse those lines or roll those cameras now?)
Those of you who have participated in a
play, at any level, know what a rewarding endeavor it can
be. More importantly, it is a great ministry tool to bring
kids into youth group who may have never participated. Join
other parishes from around the Diocese of Arlington for an
exciting thespian competition where young people will demonstrate
their acting abilities in traditional
One-Act Play fashion.
Last year, we introduced a "short-film" competition for all those wanna-be Speilbergs, Burtons and Lucas'. After lunch, the "short films" {not to exceed 3 minutes in length}will be viewed for judging. Three parishes made their film debut...
This year, let's increase that number!
Youth groups and parents who are not involved are encouraged
to come and watch the performances because their vote for
the best play/film counts! The Judge's votes count 50%, and Audience
vote counts 50% to determine the winner.
The Grand Prize for the play is $500 parish
credit towards any other diocesan youth activity!
The top three "films" receive a plaque and a valuable certificate.

ALL SCRIPTS FOR PLAYS AND OUTLINES FOR SHORT FILMS MUST BE GIVEN APPROVAL BEFOREHAND.
PLEASE SUBMIT BEFORE OR ON January 14th, 2008.
IN ADDITION, ALL COMPLETED SHORT FILMS MUST BE TURNED IN BEFORE OR ON March 14th, 2008 FOR REVIEW.
