The Youth Apostles Institute Announces…
The Ninth Annual Pro-life Poster Contest!
Theme: Human From the Start
Two divisions: Junior (grades 7 and 8) and Senior (grades 9-12)
Prizes: First place ($100 U.S. Savings Bond), second place ($75 U.S. Savings Bond), and third place ($50 U.S. Savings Bond). Honorable mention certificates also will be awarded.
Rules:
- Entries may be on 8.5” x 11” or larger size paper, or on posterboard.
- Entries may be done in any medium.
- Entries must be students’ original work.
- Entries from students participating through their school must include name, grade level, school, and school address.
- Entries from youth participating through their parish youth group must include name, grade level, parish, youth group, and home address.
- Entries from students participating as individuals must include name, grade level, parish, and home address.
- Entries must address the theme and express a pro-life view.
- Entries must be mailed or delivered to John Iekel, Youth Apostles Institute, 1600 Carlin Lane, McLean, Virginia 22101 by Monday, May 12, 2008 (if they are to be delivered, please call (703) 556-0914 to notify).
- All entries become the property of the Youth Apostles Institute and will not be returned.

2007 Winners of the Eighth annual Youth Apostles Pro-life Poster Contest. The theme this year was
"Life Is Worth Defending"
Entries came from St. Ambrose School, St. Joseph School, St. Luke School and Sacred Heart Academy in Winchester, Va. The entries effectively expressed the participants' pro-life views and demonstrate that Catholic schools in the Diocese of Arlington are doing a good job of inculcating pro-life values and encouraging youth to express them.
