Why I am a Youth Minister
|
| |
I would like to say that it is because I feel that God guided me here. Because this is my purpose in life at this moment, to be an instrument in bringing youth to know the joy of a real, vital relationship with their Lord. And because I believe that there is nothing so important in life as the fate of a single human soul, and nothing so rewarding as being an instrument of God’s grace to souls. (especially teenage ones :)
In reality, I simply felt that pursuing a career in Electrical Engineering (my college major) was just too easy, with too much job security, hours that were far too regular, and a really excessive salary. ;) |
About Me
|
| |
I love God, people, the great outdoors, adventures and pretty much all sports. Oh, and long walks on the beach. I’m serious!! ;) I went to CUA, where I was intensely involved in the amazing Campus Ministry. Despite my engineering degree, I then chose to volunteer for a year in youth ministry with the Capuchin Franciscans in Garrison NY. Leading retreats and youth groups there was such an amazing, uplifting and fulfilling experience that I felt called to continue as a youth minister here in Virginia. I truly believe what JPII said, that “life with Christ is a great adventure.” All I have to say is, “Bring it on!!” |
